Wednesday was the first official day of summer! Yay! So exciting! However, summer started for the Purefoy kids about two weeks ago when the kids handed in their end of the year reports. The summer is only beginning and it is already super busy! Birthdays seem to always kick off our summer fun since five of the seven people in my house are all summer babies. Tons of fun! As my favorite month (also my birthday month) comes to an end we will also be closing on our first home! What? Yes, finally adulting for real!
Speaking of adulting, our mortgage process has been a very long and kind of stressful process. In the end, I know not to worry and that everything will be okay. God has his hands all up in this. As of right now, we probably won’t be moving until the 30th. A total inconvenience but God must have a plan so I’m rolling with it. That and the fact that we will be living in a beautiful home. I can’t wait. Anyways, enough of the home buying banter and back to summer.
There are so many fun little things I want to do with my crew this summer. I would love to go on hikes, go to the beach (we never go to the beach), hang out on the boardwalk, take day trips, go to different parks locally, relax in some NYC parks, canoeing, some fun science experiments, visit at least two amusement parks, visit another state to learn some of their history, and attend one family reunion (we each have one this year but it’s the same week). I would really love to go on vacation out of the country but we sacrificed that to purchase a home. There’s always next year!
One thing we won’t be doing this summer is sitting in the house all day. We are a big family which usually also means big money but that doesn’t have to be the case. In fact, the most expensive thing on our summer bucket list is visiting the amusement parks. Those are usually kind of pricey but coupons always help to bring that cost down. Everything else is big family budget friendly!
What are you all doing this summer? I want to hear all about it in the comments below! Thanks for reading!
Until next time…Lady Ki
